voice :: in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me

"This is Uther Doul. I would like to make contact with someone out there in Taxon."

His voice is a good deal gentler than usual and there seems to be something of an echo to his transmission.

"Uther?" Here's a voice Godric hasn't heard in a while, and there's something off about it. He can't help but sound a little concerned.

"Godric. It is an unexpected pleasure to hear your voice." Doul pauses here to rest as the static seems to get louder. Perhaps if Godric's hearing is acute enough he might be able to make out just what the static really is? "Can you track a man with your tablet?"

Godric's eyes narrow slightly at the static. It sounds like words, the harmony of phrases, but not altogether in languages he knows and all at once like a crowd. He can't make out anything coherent.

"I can. What do you need?"

"A fresh set of clothes, some water, and a little assistance getting to a proper bed." Another pause while he recouperates. "After that, dignity would be nice but unlikely."

...Doul. You are so weird.

Tosh was walking, trying to find some coffee when she heard the voice.

"I'm here," she said answering. "What do you want to know?"

"A great many things, but for now, your name?" He's already got Godric coming for him and to pass the time a distraction wouldn't go amiss.

"Toshiko Sato," Tosh replied, smiling to herself. "But generally known as Tosh."

"Where are you from?" The static when he speaks doesn't manage to hide his unbearably lovely voice or his ridiculous canon.

"Hello there, Uther!"

The Doctor has found that the wishing thing could, in fact, produce fairly fantastic espresso. He may be a wee bit wired.

"This is the Doctor speaking! How can I help you?"

Godspit, what is with these people and their preference for familiar names?

"Doctor, Godric said that he will soon be here, but if he fails, I will let you know." There's a rather pronounced bit of static that accompanies his statement.

"Sorry, who?" This is rather embarrassing, the sheer number of people who know him in the future. Were he less hyped up on espresso, he'd probably sigh and have a good sulk about it. Instead:

"I've got a complicated life, I'm afraid, big time travel timey wimey why not just tell me who you are and who's this Godric bloke but what's he failing on? An escape attempt maybe? Nah, nobody here wants to escape except me, at least that's what it feels like----"

He'll be at this for a while.

"Godric is a gentleman of this place and I have been unwell. He is coming to assist me." They've hunted together and as much as he trusts any dead-thing, he'll wait for the vampire to arrive. "And, if I could, I would leave in a heartbeat. This place is nothing like my world and it is not large enough to really leave and explore."

It was the phrasing that caught his attention. David hesitated, but there probably wasn't any harm in responding.

"Hello?"

"Doul, please." He may be ill but there's only so much informality he can take.
