Reading over some things I've saved made a tiny, random plot-bunny appear - given the rash of "updated fairy tale" type stories, has anyone ever, in the context of "Sleeping Beauty", dealt with what it must have felt like to wake up after a hundred years? Not muscle atrophy or anything like that - I mean, to find out your whole world was gone?
The closest I can remember was a short story, where an modern-day archaelogist found the castle, and the Princess pretty much woke up and then died. (Lousy summary, sorry.)
It's not even the Princess I'm thinking of - it's "the whole castle" full of people who are now an extra 100 years older and have outlived any family not with them.
For the sake of my sanity, someone *please* tell me it's already been done and that *I* don't need to do it!
