In short, I have not read many of these unread books. Forshame. And I do, indeed, own several, and currently they are sitting on my shelf, but I wouldn't actually have thought they make me look intelligent or well-read. I shall read them one day. I have a pile of new books on my shelf at this moment, including 'A Short History of Nearly Everything', so I am working on it.
