Got Visa to Russia:)

Went to Den Haag today - to pick up visa to Russia for my husband!:)

To whom it may concern, specifically, to closest relatives of Russian citizens (spouse, children, parents) who want to get visa to Russia - there is a special type of visa, which is very easy, simple, fast and quite cheap: Visas for closest relatives (spouses and minor children) of Russian citizens traveling together to Russia.
  * As you see, there is one important condition - you should go to Russia at the same time with your Russian relative.

It is really very simple. You need only:
- picture for visa (check the sizes requirements on the website),
- filled& signed application
- a special letter from your Russian relative with a request to Russian embassy to issue visa
- Originals and copies of documents (passport, residence ID) of the applicant and of the Russian relative. Original passport of your Russian relative, residence ID are required only at the application moment, to show when giving all papers to the consulate.
- papers & copies, proving that you are relatives (marriage certificate, birth certificate etc). Again, originals will be only shown, but copies are to be given.
- Letter from insurance company, that your insurance valid in Russia
- Tickets\ proof that you travel together.
Forms and details can be found here: http://www.ambru.nl/en/page.php?a=11#
   * Of course, you need to check the details and confirm with the Russian embassy in your country. My situation is: My husband is a citizen of India, we both are residents of the Netherlands. The web-site above - Russian embassy in the Netherlands.

The most important thing for this type of visa: you don't need to arrange an invitation from Russia!
   * normally, an official invitation, legalized by authorities in Russia, is required. It takes at least one month and at least 30-40 euros to get this invitation.

There are few more positive moments about this visa:
- they issue it very quickly - 7-8 working days.
- it is not expensive, in our case it was 33 euros:)

Of course, I'd like to have something like PIO card (person of Indian origin) for my husband for visiting Russia - for example, having PIO card I can travel to India at any moment, without any visa, can stay there, work etc, for 15 years:)

Well, still I'm happy there is a solution for families to travel to Russia:)
