OMG, GUH. ALEX/IZZIE. They are so, so good. Their final scene brought back memories of their PHENOMENAL S2 finale scene. I love how they have brought Izzie back into Alex's story. I love how this time it's all about Alex, which is fascinating because he's such an interesting, complex character. When he gets into the shower to comfort Ava, when he ( Read more... )

ALEX/IZZIE!!!! GEORGE/LEXIE!!! OMG!!!!

I was SO happy with this finale. Mostly happy with Alex/Izzie, of course. ;) I loved seeing their roles reversed, how like you say, this time it was her comforting him. These two are just made for each other and I really, really hope their relationship doesn't get butchered up again next season.

And George/Lexie!! Something is definitely growing there. I love those two!!

I loved the whole thing! It was just so refreshing to see a hopeful finale. And Alex/Izzie are my main reason for watching, they're my favorite part of the show, so I was really happy to see the story moving back to them. I also really needed to see more from Izzie's side because IMO it's been apparent for a long time that Alex is completely in love with her. I think this is just the story to bring that out for Izzie, so I'm excited. I do hope they'll give them an actual, lasting relationship, that we'll have security in knowing that they're going to end up together because they have the greatest dynamic, and their scenes always sparkle. And besides, George/Lexie are so well-suited for each other. I'll be really eager to see this show return.

LOL, I have flashes now from before ;) I remember that you gushed about another one of their (A/I) scenes too, so much that I checked it out on youtube, although I had never seen any GA before :p Now I'm itching already to download this ep, although I'm sure I have absolutely NO idea what's going on. SEE WHAT YOU ALWAYS DO TO ME! :p

Oh and... "Sometimes you don't need the shocking cliffhanger endings" - WORD! ;)

HAHAHAHAHAHA You really do stroke my ego, you know that?

I didn't know that you checked out the Alex/Izzie S2 scene!!! Wasn't it amazing? That's one of my all-time favorite couple scenes, and very few make the cut. Grey's is a good show. There have been episodes that have been phenomenal, and while it's not up to Lost or Moonlight investment for me, I really enjoy it, and I know if they fully move into Alex/Izzie, I'll be all in. You may want to consider catching on. ;)

I haven't heard from you in a few days. I'm guessing you're busy with baby stuff, and I hope all is going well.

*hugs*

LOL ;) You just have a way of talking about things that gets me excited. Guess what, in a free minute yesterday I really downloaded the epi and watched it :p Well what can I say... I guess I have to catch up, ahem ;) I liked the episode a lot and some of the characters instantly won my heart (don't ask me for names, I have to rewatch before, lol. The only names I know are Alex/Izzie and Mer/Der of course :p). I also thought the medical cases were really interesting and SO heartrending...sigh. So...yeah. While you check out Bones over the summer I'll catch up on GA :p Since I know that shit happens inbetween and you guys weren't all that happy with last season (?), I know what to expect ;)

I absolutely loved the scene where Izzie found out that "he's done that before" (there I also finally checked that the girl who slit her wrists wasn't his girlfriend, doh!) and the last scene of course. His tears made me tear up too *sigh* =D

Is Clauds arriving tomorrow? Have fun!!! :D

*hugs*

ps: I explained the rest in my lj.

HEE. I'm glad you liked it. You picked a really good episode to begin, even if it was the S4 finale. ;) It was just excellent, but what I still can't really get over is ALL THE LOVE STORIES! I especially hope that you latch onto Alex/Izzie as much as I have. It's a unique situation because typically I go for the primary couple on a show, and while I really do like Meredith/Derek, on Grey's my couple is Alex/Izzie. So, yeah, the end of S2 (besides TEH scene) and a lot of S3 are not really my favorite, but it doesn't put you through the ringer like, say, Lost has because I know that even though I love Alex/Izzie and want them together, they are a secondary couple, and there's almost some comfort in that. Not SO much stress (well, except for the fact that the downside to secondary couples, unlike primary, is that there really isn't the same guarantee that they will absolutely end up together, but I'm starting to get more hopeful about that with Alex/Izzie ( ... )

I haven't seen the epi yet, my download takes forever. But Izzie and Alex? Huhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!
I've waited so long for them to get back together! I hated Izzie/George. Don't get me wrong, I adore them both as characters, I even named my kittens after them, but they are like brother and sister, so their relationship was just ewwww.

And yay for finding a fellow Alex-lover in you. All my RL friends think he's a jerk, and I have to defend him constantly!!

I'm so glad to find another Alex/Izzie fan. :) They're just incredible, and the difference between Izzie with Alex and Izzie with George is like night and day, adult and juvenile, great love and best friend. I wouldn't let myself go too all out because I knew that they're a secondary couple and there are no guarantees, but damn if they're not just the best. I am so hoping to see a story for them next season.

Oh, people just give up on characters if they're too complicated. Alex is so complex and he takes patience and understanding. The beauty is that when you give that, Izzie and we as the viewers, what you get in return is monumental. He's an extraordinary character, and even though I cringe when he acts the way he does, I can see the deeper meaning. Alex is my favorite character on this show.

Oh, the ending with all the couples had me so giddy. You really can't beat a happy ending.

I thought the candlelit house was amazing. It was so grand and poignant. But yes, it was a bit ominous with Derek leaving at the end. You know we've been watching too much TV. :p

I knew you'd love it! You've waited a long time for it. I agree that Alex/Izzie have a bond that goes beyond hooking up and it's wonderful they concentrated on the emotional needs. I guess I like Alex more too after finding out the actor (his name escapes me at the moment) has been married 12 years and they have 5 kids.

Yes, you predicted it, and you were right. I was definitely squeeing. I've been hesitant to hope for this couple because as unpredictable as romance is in TV shows, I think secondary relationships are even more pressed not to end happily. But Alex/Izzie are SO GOOD, and if they will now really explore the emotional, they're going to have a brilliant couple on their hands. All the potential is there.

(And the actor who plays Alex is Justin Chambers. :D)
