So I never do posts about Friday Night Lights, and I haven't made a secret of the fact that this season hasn't clicked for me like last year's near-perfect one. But there were so many moments that made me laugh out loud this week and in general just reminded me why, even when it's been off, this show is a one-of-a-kind

I've loved Tim this season because for awhile there he wasn't heavily involved in a romantic scenario; it was just him dealing with his life, living with the Taylors, etc. I hate the Tim/Lyla pairing, so that's not my favorite, and now I really don't want them together because for me Tim is so much more liked than Lyla. I don't care much for her. The Christian storyline does not help. My mom was laughing/perplexed about this ep whenever Lyla is bringing around the offering "basket." She's like, "They should have deacons for that." The church is so ghetto. Most churches aren't like that. I just really resent this story. It's just this side of being really offensive, but it toes the line awfully close, and I haven't appreciated it. The sex thing this week with her and that guy really bothered me.
No, I haven't kept up with Smallville at all. What's happened? Something bad again, I see, but please let me know details. Seriously, I know nothing. But I've always said the Clark/Lana fans are the worst treated I've ever seen. They so abused us that I can only admire those who are still standing. I had to give up because it affected me too much. And I got the feeling about the 5th time we were put through the ringer that they would never satisfy these fans. I don't think the same will be true of Jate. Yeah, they've treated us terribly too, but you can see where the story's going. I really believe we're going to have our time, and that's never been true about Clark/Lana. It's really sad though.

Lol about your mom and shipping. And she makes a good point about the offerings...it definitely is not just some random person from the church that does it lol. I was kinda confused about what they were trying to show us in the scene with the sex thing...was she disappointed that he wouldn't have sex with her and that's what will drive her "back" to Tim. WTF?! What kind of message is that? lol Either way...it definitely rubbed me the wrong way.
Hmm...honestly I can't even really think of specific things, its just a different vibe. But lets see...Lana was all hellbent on getting revenge on Lex and she was hiding this spying system she had on him from Clark. Then Clark was taken over by this Phantom thing and the real Clark was trapped in the Fortress while the bad one was with Lana, and they imply that she felt happier than cause she felt freer or something. She told Clark in Thursdays episode that it feels horrible to always feel judged or disappointing to the only person you've ever loved or something. And in the end Clark tells her that he broke into an ATM machine or something (when he was on red kyrptonite probably)and that he's not perfect so they are going to try to work things out but yeah...I guess its just that there's always this feeling of neither of them feeling really secure/happy in the relationship and thats what gets on my nerves. At this point I'd rather have had it left from last season when Lana says she has to go away and they had one last kiss and then she faked her own death (maybe she should have just actually died...lol as mean as that sounds, yeah its just feeling so contrived right now because as you said, they will never satisfy C/L fans). Very sad...luckily they aren't my OTP lol...but I'm still worried about J/K or I guess I should say I'm worried about S/K because I just don't trust tptb after s3 I guess lol.
