HugeM, the-TatterTot-formerly-known-as-fetus and I are moving away from a pretty cool lower duplex unit with questionable landlords for a place undetermined on a newly fixed date.
Move out Friday, June 30th, move in Saturday, July 1st - please put it in your calendars now, we may not need as much help as last time, but I know we'll need bodies. I'll try to send out an e-vite/mail of some sort to get solid RSVPs, but if you know you are willing to devote your weekend fun-time to testing your back strength, please e-mail HugeM or myself.
Good News:
-We have a moving truck secured with guaranteed times from 2:30pm Friday to 2:00pm Saturday.
-We will move away from landlords who decide to paint and strip/refinish floors in shared air-circulation space as a domicile with a newborn, and takes their sweet time in addressing repairs & interesting requirements for inter-tenant relations.
-We will move into a space with 2 bedrooms, or at least a bedroom + den/TatterTot space.
Bad(ish) News:
-We have not yet found our future home. If you know of an awesome 2 bedroom place with really reasonable rent, please let us know.
-A friend of ours is getting married Saturday, July 1st at a yet unknown time - so we're on a tight timetable to "make it to the church on time". You're welcome HTCers.
If I were single, without child, and didn't give a sh!t, I would love to stay where we are. It's a pretty cool duplex unit with basement, off-street parking, paid heat & laundry, etc. As it is, the three of us are looking forward to better arrangements.
