I am currently writing this from a random bibliothèque I stumbled upon in my wanderings this afternoon. I was planning on going home and slyly using Clémentine's computer because my attempts to log in the computer system kept getting foiled but then this charming, raggletaggle french youth sitting beside me kindly offered me his consel, ha! Hurrah for gentlemanly youths!
So I really wanted to update because on Saturday, we depart for Ariège, and each of us is getting placed in a separate village for ten days, where we have to come up with a project on some aspect of our village. For those of you who heard me talking about this whole program before I left, this is the "Village Stay" aspect, or if you're Laura or anyone in her family, the Sheep Herding portion, or, of course, if you're Jean, the "Johnny and Vanessa CHateau of Love/Babysitting Program." Whatever you want to call it, I will be living in a tiny village in the Pyrénées for ten days, maybe interacting with farm animals, maybe interacting with small barefoot children wearing daisy chains (for some reason I keep picturing Heidi). ALl I know is that my family has children, which is really exciting. But it's going to be quite an experience with NO other ENglish speakers around for ten days. Right now, no matter how hard we try with each other, the most French we've ever spoken straight was *maybe* two hours. And that w
damn! am about to be automatically logged out, will have to finish this at home! PEACE!
