Through a magically coincidental string of events I have fallen in with a group of LA's bartenders who are... for lack of a better term elite within the area. I'm not quite sure how that happened, but it's been extremely interesting and I'm excited about something for the first time a while. New black macbook coming my way in a week or so.  Fusion over Parallels.  Will buy memory separately (eff you Apple).  I wish I could downgrade the hard drive to something that I'd replace with a 7200, but whatever.  Not possible with the black version.
