Yet another bump in the road...

So, I took my car to get it inspected, and ......... it failed. Ugh. One more bump or road block on my road to getting my license. I was hoping that it would pass and I would be able to go on friday (or saturday) to get my license. That is still a possibility, but I would have to use my dad's pick-up truck

Have you looked online to see if there has been a recall on the airbag light? There was a recall like that for my mom's van and all she had to do is bring it to the dealership and they fixed it for free. If you do find something like that, print a copy and bring it with you to be on the safe side. Take care.

My dad did some checking, and there was a recall of the 4-door Explorer back in 2000 due to the airbag, but I have a 2-door Explorer...

The mechanic said it's most likely a spring that needs to be re-adjusted. But, I had a friend run the VIN, and he told me the Explorer was in an accident in 2003, which would explain the airbag light going on, and the ball joints needing to be replaced; especially since the Explorer was never fixed after the accident. He doesn't think it was anything major, because only $250 was paid to cover damage to the other car. So, who knows. The good thing is, the mechanic said he can fix it.
