Top five comfort foods.

2. Whipped potatoes. NOT mashed, whipped, with a hand blender, so there are no lumps. I'm picky about that. *laughs*
3. French fries with gravy, vinegar (pref. cider) and ketchup; or poutine (gravy and cheese curds). The latter is just plain awesome and the former was something we used to share in the cafe in high school.
4. Soup, particularly chicken noodle or cream of mushroom.
5. Crunchy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
(I have no food-related icons; you get a mouth. xD)

Ultimately I limited to one per band, of course, because to put it bluntly, you could stick me in a room with only Metallica, AC/DC and Motley Crue albums and my non-existent dick would get hard. *grins* Beyond that, I chose these particular songs for those reasons, plus they all have some extra meaning for me personally.

Reading this reminded me why I am still invested in fanfiction. It's real and raw and GORGEOUS. (Link is to final part, with links to previous parts at the beginning of it.)
3. Becoming Who We Are by al_teregoz
This is an example of fanfiction done the way it was meant to be. It's a good story in and of itself - wonderfully readable even for someone who isn't familiar with the band or their history - and then there are the layers of meaning that only a fellow fan would know, that make the sadder parts tear your heart out and the happier parts send you sky high.

I know, I know...they're all ollllllllld. I found my way back to music but not so much to movies, and there are so many I haven't seen yet it just overwhelms me. I picked these as they're among the ones that I absolutely had to buy (I am not much of a movie collector, only a CD collector). :D
