Since leaving Chicago I've come to recognize a major disparity in pizza culture: people who have not spent much time in Chicago think that "Chicago-style pizza" means a 2" thick crusty rim around a deep-dish pizza with a thick bready crust, at least 1/2", sometimes nearly a full inch of bread under the pizza. This is but one of many local versions

This was inspired by the cooking lessons on the deluxe DVD set of "Sin City." Nesko and I make this for breakfast on Sundays when we have all the ingredients. It's cheap, it's tasty as all hell, and it's filling
