Ground Beef Soup

From the Dirt Duck Inn (sic) Revisited.



Makes ~ 1.25 gallon soup

1 1/2 lb hamburger, browned and drained
1/2 lb carrots, sliced
1/3 lb. onions, diced
3 ribs celery, chopped
1/3 oz. fresh parsley, minced
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
1/4 lb egg noodles
2/3 gallon water
1/4 C paste beef bouillon
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp summer savory
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Sauté browned beef with carrots, onions, celery and garlic. Cook until crisp-tender. Add water, bouillon, tomatoes, thyme, summer savory, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Stir in noodles and parsley. Cook to desired doneness.
