Today - Sunday
Woke up earlish and talked to mum on the phone. Had a lateish breakfast and came back to my room. Decided I wanted a museum fix so walked down to Russell Square and got on the tube to South Kensington. Got off and made a descision to go to the V&A to see the exhibit on the history of couture. However the queue for tickets was massive so I went and looked at the Out of the Ordinary exhibit instead. My favourite out of the 8 artists was the chinese guy who did the paper people. The scope of this was massive. To think that he cut every single one of them by hand is brain bending. I then went upstairs via the Korean gallery (in which I found that the Koreans had metal type printing press 70 years before Luther started printing on Gothenburg). Then spent a very happy and satifying couple of hours wandering the textile and theatre galleries and pulling out drawers of 17C Flemish lace and just oggling at the workmanship. I then ended up in the shop buying buttons of all things, and Christmas decorations.
Came back and relaxed. WAs supposed to meet up with Gav for dinner but it didnt happen due to crossed wires. Am now contemplating bed.
