Family Update
Where to begin? I just got a call from my mom today. Nanny's going to Manitoba tomorrow. I'll be going out to see her before she goes, and wish her well. Her boyfriend though ... he's got pneumonia. They put off his surgery for weeks, leaving him bed-ridden and in pain (though they gave pain killers, I'd imagine). But because of weeks of inactivity, he's now under a hundred pounds, and just got worse and worse. They don't think he'll make it through the weekend.
This ticks me off. If they had just done the surgery, and not put it off and put it off and put it off, he'd have been out of the hospital. The guy was walking around with mild complaints of pain for a month before going in, having him waste away like that? I can't excuse it. I... just don't know what to think. He wasn't my favourite guy, but he was decent, and I don't think he deserves this. :( I'm angry and upset...
