This is me going over the cliff.
Kevin checked the fonts in the PDF, and everything seemed 'okay'. Then he took a second look, and noticed that his Times New Roman was different than the type used in the document. (How's that?) So, I sent him all my fonts, and he looked online for the TNR font. He found it, installed it, tried to convert to that, and... all the text in the PDF vanished. Then, he noticed that SloganD (the nice cursive font I used for Fox Magic) can not become an imbedded font. What? So, basically, neither of the fonts I used seem to work. One can't be imbedded, and the other can't be imbedded or the text vanished.
Isn't that lovely?
I've gone through the pictures, and found the best quality ones I have (leaving only one a JPG... I hope I get the full version of that before tomorrow), so I'll hand those to Kevin when he shows up tomorrow.
Once we've done that, we have to somehow shrink the PDF by 3%. You know, one of the font sizes I used was only 7pt. How the hell small is it going to be with 3% reduction? Why does it have to have 3% reduction anyway? I gave them enough space to pit the bloody binding in, and now they're saying that's not enough? What the hell is going on?
Just... bloody hell.
Why does it have to be so hard to just get one freaking book published on time, so I can actually have something to show? Do I constantly have to be screwed around with?
Seriously, this is killing my desire to actually try doing anything more. I'm just about done. I want to throw my hands up in the air, say f**k it, and just forget ever trying to write or actually amount to anything.
