The moon will be closer to Earth than it has been since 1992. It will appear brighter and 14% bigger. baker_kitty sent me a link with this explanatory video, which is very good, although, like all mainstream reports on this event, it is silent on the issue of whether a bigger moon triggers more werewolf turnings than usual.
