Grumble grumble...

So, Delicious.com has rolled out its new interface. I never had that many bookmarks, I think around 200 total, so I managed to sidestep the worst of the carnage. Sure, I can't see 90% of my tags because they were in bundles (that no longer exist) and, uh, apparently they think that if we browse by tag we no longer want to know what the resultant links are about as user summaries are no longer provided, but I can survive.

But any tags that include a slash? Are broken.

Oh, fandom's gonna love this. #facepalmforever

ETA: Via Twitter, a workaround for the broken slash tags has been found. Searching for "Dean.Castiel" (or whatever your poison) instead of "Dean/Castiel" will pull up the same results -- at least for now.

crimsonquills and I finished the first season of Glee last night. (Note: crimsonquills is watching largely because I am; her traditional place on the couch makes her generally subject my whims.)

God, that show. There are elements that I enjoy (they're all fantastic performers, some of the characters are fun), but holy problematic plot lines, Batman. I mean, it wasn't all bad, of course; a lot of Glee is ridiculous and incomprehensible but harmlessly so. But gah, some of the "message" episodes were so muddled that the moral at times seemed downright offensive.

Also, somebody needs to deck Will Schuester in the face.

We will, however, keep watching. Why? Because Blaine shows up midway through Season 2 and, while I don't know much, I do know that a) Kurt needs a boyfriend and b) Darren Criss is adorable.

So there's that.

Someone I follow on Tumblr has recently fallen head over heels in love with Mass Effect. This is understandable; I'm head over heels in love with Mass Effect and because of the whole "Ha ha you use a Mac fuck you" I can't even play the game at home.

It's not that I haven't played at all; a friend let me create an account on her Xbox and for a brief, glorious moment I had access to a PC and bought the original game on Steam. Both times, my Shepard looked pretty much the same -- lightly scarred, hard-jawed female with very short, dark hair. She's perfect in a hardass space marine kind of way. I love her.

But that's my Shepard. The idea of making her male is utterly alien to me.

And it means that whenever I see Tumblr's cavalcade of beautifully produced gifs and picspams all I'm left with is "Whee! Mass Effect! ... wait, who's the guy? No, I mean, why is he... oh."

Given that the upcoming movie is exclusively about male!Shepard, I'm guessing there's a lot more where that came from.

Siiiiiigh.

Oh, and if you've been following the recent sexist clusterfuck that was DC Comics' Catwoman #1 and Red Hood and the Outlaws #1, CBR has pulled together some of the commentary.

games: mass effect, don't know how to tag this, bah., tv: glee
