It just stands to reason that, although the average pH of water in my city is a very respectable 6.9, my tap water would be clocking in at ~5.5 or less. I understand from the wealth of knowledge that is the Great Internet Machine that this is way, way too acidic for my betta, who's currently waiting out the tank setup stage in his water from the store.
And I understand that once he's in the tank, presumably after I've found some way to bus to a pet store on my lunch break to buy some pH-altering chemicals, the pH will only drop from there.
I love the guy, he's beautiful and blue and he glares at me, but I should've stuck with cats.
Probably wouldn't fit in the tank, though.
