Help! Community advice?

So, guys, I kind of like Nick Fury.

In the past I've kept my enthusiasm to my own journal, mostly because the only relevant community -- shieldhq -- has been dead for years. Recently, though, I've been increasingly antsy for a fandom. It wouldn't have to be big; really, all I want is a handful of like-minded people so it wouldn't feel so much like I was shouting into the void (or worse, seriously boring my f-list).

It seems like a good time. Secret Warriors has given him his first ongoing title in years and the projected slate of Marvel movies should increase his exposure considerably over the next few years. And besides, it's not like people don't like him. It's not like trying to manufacture a fandom for Ben Daimio from B.P.R.D., whose fanbase seems to number in the single digits; Nick Fury is a popular character, though possibly not as popular as many of his colleagues, and he's, well, in everything. It should not be hard.

Still, there's only the one community and, so far as I can determine, it's been abandoned. I've approached its current moderator about possibly taking over the position, but so far I haven't heard back.

Presuming I don't hear back from the mod, a poll:

The current plan involves regularly scheduled picspams, reviews and icon posts to keep the community active, while advertising where allowed.

Thanks, gang! I know that, for most of you, this isn't really your bag, but any ideas or suggestions you might have I'd really appreciate.

fuck yeah nick fury
