I have to say that I agree with each and ever one of your fannish pet peeves. Except maybe the first one. See, while I have a thing when it comes to Feanorian hair, I still haven't quite made my mind up as to what color I fancy in Feanaro's case. Of course, I see him with extremely dark hair, but I don't mind if he's got blue or red reflexes or whatever. (I am too smitten by the general awesomeness of Teh Noldo to care for such details)
That last one made me laugh. It also peeves me when people get Ambarussa mixed up. I mean, heck, I know they share a name and yes, they come accross as Amrod-and-Amras, but they are not a damned unit. I'm sure you and I see eye-to-eye on this as well.

Eh, that's almost like thinking about Glorfindel with anything else but long, gorgeous, shiny golden hair. Teh Blasphemy...
Plus, I can't really blame people for thinking it as red, since I thought so too the first time I read The Sil!!
Lol, really? *ponders* Nah, he's not as scary with red hair... But I can't say much on hair issues because I used to think that all the Feanorians were dark-haired and at the first fanfiction mentioning of Mae's hair I went up the walls. Like WTF?! Totally had to research that one. Then, I used to pick on Dawn for writing blondTurko in AMC. I suppose hair tends to be one of my peeves when it comes to reading Silm fanfic.
Amrod & Amras are not a unit! Amen! Well, unless in some situations...*wicked grin* but that's another story entirely!*snickers* Yeah, you've got a point there. And yes, you are absolutely right, it is damned annoying to see the one twin ( ... )

Yeah, like I told Dawn, I missed the whole dark hair detail, and being the spirit of fire...well, red came to mind. But yeah, he's definitely not as scary then! Though Mae is scary sometimes...
Sure, I like the idea that they share a special bond and closeness, but I certainly don't see them as inseparable.
Exactly.

I've never seen that and good thing...that is one detail that I do think is pretty solid in the canon.
I loved your memory meme! And the fannish5 (after I finished throwing a hissy fit about Feanor with red hair) made me laugh! Mixing up Elladan and Elrohir...*rolls eyes* The nerve of some people. :^P

Lol. To quote my nutrition prof: "They are not the same [thing]. They're not even spelled the same!"
