Movie Review: New Years Eve
Am I a sucker for short stories? Yes.
Do I care that a thousand famous faces made this movie? No.
Did I like it? Hell, yes!
I will admit to liking this type of format movie, the mutliple story lines that intersect. It's light, its fluff and yet, had some really touching moments. I found Michelle Pfieffer's story the most poignant, perhaps because I feel like I am in a rut and in need to some serious change. I doubt Zac Efron is going to swing through my life and take me off to reach my goals on the back of a scooter. But I liked the idea. I did.
Hilary Swank's story was the true surprise, I fully expected that she was going to meet Josh and instead got a sad daughter watching her father die.
All in all it was a fun little movie, that I thoroughly enjoyed. The only fly in the ointment was Sarah Jessica Parker, sorry :(
and saphirablue - watch this vid. It's a good one for a snapshot on Thor with great editing (and music choice in IMO).
