Movie Review: Avengers 2: Age of Ultron
It's really difficult to top the sucess that was Avengers, because its a simple fact of escalation - it needs to be 'more!' Also, the three intermediary movies (Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Cap 2) were pretty darn awesome IMHO with the only downside to each movie being.... no avengers. Each hero did their own thing without picking up the phone and saying: 'Hey, I need some help.'
I understand the MCU PTBs approach to all these movies, tv series and spin offs. I do. I have read countless reviews on various installments who have complained that Cap 2, Thor 2 or insert whichever movie you want, that it felt like a filler movie, an extra long episode in the grand scheme of the MCU story board.
And you know what... I don't frigging care! I loved Iron Man 3 (smishes Pepper). I loved Thor 2 (smishes Thor/Sif/Jane/Darcy) and wellll.... I really really really loved Wintersoldier (smishes EVERYONE).

Where there issues? little things? yes, sure. But overall, on so so so many layers, with so many inside jokes, characters developments and well... out right laughs and one liners and sheer awesome fun, well... I don't care!
The highlights of what I loved:
Clint Barton has a family, an ordinary, wonderful family and he didn't die!! If the only collateral damage was my Darcy/Clint ship, pff, I'll take it. Clint and family and just being awesome... *shiny*
Natasha and Bruce or Natasha/Bruce or Black and Green! Just Beautiful!
James Spader as Ultron's voice. (giggles)
I don't care that it was in the trailer: the team trying to pick up Thor's hammer. In fact, Thor's hammer and Vision/Jarvis! LOL.
Fury and the hellacarrier.
Steve and Sam. Steve being Cap. Steve being awesome. Steve. Steve. Steve.
Thor and Tony loving their ladies and Hill's face.

I could go on and on and on. This is not coherent. I think I'll write something more coherent once I've watched it again and I can enjoy without the angst of a possible Coulson, altho, when you expect a Coulson, Joss kills off Quicksilver.
It ... was.... perfect. Just perfect. For the development and continuation of characters that it was.
