Through An Open Door
They stood in the open doorway of the TARDIS, looking out on the multi-hued swirling mass just ahead of them, the occasional bright flash of light illuminating her rapt face and his smiling one.
“How can we do this?” she whispered.
The Doctor’s arms tightened around her.
“The TARDIS is shielding us. Jus’ don’t lean out too far. Don’t want to lose you in there, Rose Tyler.”
“ What is it?”
“A Rotating Wormhole Nursery. The spinning generates the wormhole, then flings it out into space.”
“It’s gorgeous,” she whispered again.
“Yeah. It is.”
He wasn’t looking out of the doors.
