Cold feet.
Yeah, my spiffy new winter boots I bought a few weeks ago? Not so spiffy. I wore them for the first time this morning, and the first puddle I hit that was deeper than 1" (not hard to do!) and my right foot was wet. Left one took a few more minutes to decide it wanted in too. So I got to work with completely soaked socks, and very cold feet!!
Didn't help that somehow my alarm didn't go off, despite my clearly remembering setting it last night, and so I didn't have time to grab my sneakers to wear in the hospital like I would've otherwise, so I had to trip around in either bare feet at my desk, or borrow my kind co-worker's sneakers (warm!) to go down to the cafeteria for lunch.
Socks are dry now, and my feet feel okay, but my boots are still damp, and I'm not looking forward to putting them on to go home. Boots are making a return trip to Walmart this week. I'm pretty sure I still have the receipt, as I only took the box out of the bag this morning.
