The good and the bad... teeth, that is.

Well, good news is I'm going to PEI to visit Conn for the weekend.  Shuttle's picking me right up at the door after work here.  Sadly, I won't be there for their minifeast, as it's Sunday afternoon, and I'm leaving at 11:30 to come back home. :(

The bad news is, I was having a snack here at work, and find out that I chipped a rather large portion of one of my root canaled teeth.  I can't afford a dental appointment before I get paid next Thursday. :(  I may see if I can get an appointment early next week, and then pay them Thursday; their building is just up the street from work here.

Though I just mentioned it to a coworker, and she reminded me that now that I have dental coverage, I can actually see a real dentist, not Dalhousie Dental anymore.  Dal doesn't do direct billing on insurance, not sure why.   Seems the best I can get in Dartmouth area is next Friday evening.  Least I'm not in pain, but it is bothering my bite, though that could be because that same tooth shifted forward a day or two ago.  I don't even know if I lost the chunk last night or this morning.

Anyone in the area have any dentist recommendations? Now that I have insurance (and realize now what that means), I can get on with an actual dentist now.

I'd highly prefer one that's easy to talk to, and doesn't treat you like an object once you're in the chair.  I had a bad experience a few years back with one guy who refused to speak to me the whole time, and instead chatted with his assistant about wines and other things.  I like to have things explained to me what's being done to me.
