McHappy lunch!
Hee, at the office here today, my coworker didn't want her usual lunch, and I'd heard on the radio that today is the fundraising day for McDonald's, so it didn't take much to convince her to go there for lunch.
We went to the one on Kempt Rd., and walked in. There were at least a dozen military guys there in uniform eating, I checked, noone I knew there :P We got our meals, and over on the side, a guy was cutting this huge sheet cake. I figured it was a birthday cake, and the guy took a piece over to the military dudes. I commented to my coworker that I wish I could have a piece... while I was waiting for her to get her meal, the guy comes by and asked if I wanted a piece! Turns out it's a free cake for their fundraiser :D Nice soft white cake, with the good creamy icing in blue and yellow.
Amazingly enough, since we were expecting lots of crowds, it wasn't bad at all when we went at noon, and we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. I was jugglings things back to her van, and while putting my cake on the roof to open the door, I dropped my ketchup, which amazingly didn't hit me at all.
So to whatever fates/gods are keeping an eye out for me today, thanks! ;)
