Lost weight eating twinkies and M&Ms

 In the summer of 2010 a lot of conversation and print was wasted on this guy who lost weight eating twinkies and M&Ms, and the trick is he ate 1200 calories per day.  Everyone does realize that's an amazingly small amount of food; examples, one package of twinkies is around 270 calories, meaning he could five packages of twinkies per day?  Sounds ( Read more... )

I would speculate that if you only ate 1200 calories per day, regardless of your dietary choices you would lose weight.
I think that was the point of his experiment.

Yeah, I think his point was that, for weight loss, the only thing that actually matters is how many calories you consume, not what kind of food you eat.

Well, I guess. It was to counter a lot of old half truths; examples, if you eat white bread you cannot loose weight, if you continue to drink coffee and/or cola you cannot loose weight. And so on.
