On Shopping

Jun 01, 2007 22:33

So, truth be told I hate to go shopping. I’m tall. Clothes never fit. I can make better (well… at least more interesting) garments. And I really don’t like dealing with the throng of shoppers. However each person has their weakness. For some, it’s the window of the Godiva chocolate store. For me it’s the junky antique market. For some it’s the Memorial Day 6:00 AM Pick-a-Ticket White sale. For me, it’s the Harbor Freight sidewalk sale.

And it’s this weekend!!! (choir music in background)

Tomorrow I’ll be browsing the piles of dollies and die-grinders in search of….. well, I don’t know yet. But I do know it will be 60% of it’s regular retail price. I think I see a ball-peen hammer with my name on it. Ooooh! 12 inch bar clamps only a dollar nintey-nine! Gasp! I’d better stock up.

And the best part is. I know I can really use these things for my home wood-shop, and the never ever go out of style.

For some, it’s shoes. But for me, well, a girl can never have too many c-clamps.
