I hate people.... really I do.

Him: Hey. Can you install this different OS, Database, and WebApplicationX on each of the training machines?
Me: No. I have the machines set up and wiped after each class so they can be configured for the next class.
Him: I am teaching an internal class on WebApplicationX on Monday, and I have set anything up yet.
Me: Don't know what to tell you. I could suggest you use VMWare to set up a virtual machine on your desktop and install / configure everything you need for the class. Then we could import them to the training machines and run them with VMWare Player, since it is already installed on the training machines.
Him: But I dont have time to do that. The class starts Monday morning. And I need to have everything up and running by then.
Me: Well that gives you two full days to come in here and set up your class.
Him: On the weekend?
Me: Yes.
Him: I dont know if I will be able to come in.
Me: Then the only thing I can tell you is Thank You. Thank you for letting me use one of my favorite phrases: "Lack of planning on your part, does NOT constitute an emergency on mine." Given a little more notice, we could have worked something out. But I dont have time to do my job, as well as take up the slack in yours.

OK... in all actuality, I am sitting here bored. I am actually thinking about leaving early today.
Dont get me wrong. I CAN be a team player. But TEAM leads me to believe everyone helps. Not Everyone does shit for me. He has known about this class for over a month. Not my fault that he waits until the 11th hour to do his job. Besides, I am getting old. I am usually in bed by the 11th hour. Sleeping well knowing I did my job in plenty of time.
