12th Surgiversary
Yesterday was the 12th anniversary (or surgiversary as we call it in Mended Hearts) of my quadruple bypass. Little did I know that eventually, heart disease would become the least of my worries. These days if it isn't causing me daily pain it's off my radar. I was having a lot of pain these last two weeks and we were too broke to celebrate but Dave did bring me my favorite Chinese food from Santa Cruz. Thanks, honey.
I'm so glad I've been able to have these extra years with you because of the excellent and life saving surgery my heart surgeon performed. I'm glad I pad attention to my symptoms and went to the doctor right away so I got diagnosed in time. I'm also so very happy to have had a chance to know my grandchildren.
