day 7

Dec 02, 2007 20:17

today seemed mostly a waste of a day. mostly. we went to MGM to see the osborn christmas lights, and if you don't know what this (i didn't until last year), basically, this family out west somewhere had so many christmas lights it should be illegal to own so many, they decided that for whatever reason, either there was too much traffic going to their house or the town was going to lynch them for using too much electricity, they donated all their christmas lights to disney. and what you now have is every building in MGM covered from top to bottom in christmas lights, as well as just a ridiculous mess of santas and snowmen and angels all made from that tube-like lights. and every 15 minutes or half hour or something, the lights "dance", so now not only is there blinding christmas lights for miles, they now blink to the music, a real epileptic's christmas nightmare. how one family managed to have this many lights, and not only that, but they built two more houses on their property to put up more lights...i mean really. that takes christmas insanity to the next level. anyone who has three houses just to put up christmas lights has 1.) a lot of time and energy 2.) a lot of money 3.)enough christmas cheer to overtake the world 4.) serious mental issues. it's like that hoarding disease combined with pyromania, but it's not so much the fire as just bright lights. i'm calling it the christmas lights disease, CLD, if you will.

then to the adventurer's club mainly just to say goodbye to everyone and get lots of pictures and me praying that there is not enough snow to cancel flights because now i am ready to say hasta la vista to disney and get back home.

this concludes our visit to the disney theme parks.
