day 6
i decided today that the magic kingdom is an evil place, and quite possibly my least favorite attraction. although i don't really care for MGM that much either, so it might be a tie. they were filming the christmas parade at the magic kingdom on this day, the one for regis and kelly, so by the time we got there, holy hell there were so many people i almost went on a ninja kicking spree. take the day after thanksgiving, all those people, and put them in a carnival type setting. ta da! so much chaos your brain may explode on impact. did NOT want. there was nothing we could do there. thankfully i had gone on the rides i wanted at the beginning of the week, because there was no way in hell i was getting on anything. the wait for space mountain alone was 50 minutes (which could have been even longer), and i didn't even try to walk past thunder mountain. even during the parades and fireworks the lines were ridiculous, which is when i usually try to get on the rides and succeed. all the other rides were equally as long to everything else, which is fine because with the crowd-induced rage i was feeling, it's a small, small world would have made me violent. and no one wants to see a grown woman attacking mechanical singing children from around the globe. after the fireworks, we finagled our way the hell out of there and back over the pleasure island, because the adventurer's club is that awesome.
*celebrity sighting!!* so, sitting in one of the shows they have at the club, i'm doing and pan and scan of the crowd, and my eyes fall on a familiar looking face. i turn to my sister and ask as casually as i can "isn't that neil patrick harris?" why yes, in fact it is. she was like, how the hell did you even spot him? my talents for face recognition are far superior to other mere mortals. or something. anyways, yes, i spotted NPH with a gaggle of mens. he's very tall! my sister tried to talk to him, but after a series of mishaps (ok, just one, but i will leave that up to her to tell that story), there was just a small passing conversation. *end celebrity sighting!!*
