Why are they remaking The Secret of NIMH?
The original film was one of the best animated films ever made, at least in the US. Given that pretty much all modern children's films are generic fluffy comedies (which the original was NOT) I don't see any way it will ever come near the quality of the first. The only way it might be okay is if it's a fresh (and more faithful) adaptation of the book, but even then I have a feeling that pressures from marketing and focus groups are going to water it down until it looks like everything else.
In other news, I declare this week to be Wheeljack Week in honor of everyone's favorite geeky sportscar Transformer. That is all.
