Misc. Things That Tick Me Off

Jan 25, 2002 17:25

I'll start off from my work at the gas station *the only damn place in town that was hiring last month*:

-Parents that give their kids money to pay for their gas. A parent did that to me last night and the kid said the wrong pump and made a big ol' mess. I ended up getting aggravated and having an upset customer to top it off. Next time a parent does that, I'll follow the kid out and give that parent a peice of my mind...something to the effect of "I see you're too lazy to do things yourself" and "So I suppose you want to see your little one get hit by a car just because you don't want to walk into the store and pay yourself."

-People parking their SUV/luxury car in a handicapped stall or right in front of the door. Courtousy obviously never enters some people's minds.

-People bitching about getting carded, even when I have at least a $250 fine and getting fired hanging over my head if I get caught selling to someone that has no ID and looks younger than 30.

Yes, gas stations are full of that much BS 90% of the time. Its bad enough that some customers treat me like dirt just because I work at that place. btw, any of you guys know any decent jobs in the Charlotte area? =P

And there has got to be some kind of wuss gene that goes of in most of these people down here once it drops below 40*F. So many people say "Gosh its freezing right now!" and I'm outside wearing a short sleeved shirt. And snow? It isn't even FUNNY the way people react down here. We got 6 INCHES of snow a couples weeks back, and the entire town shuts down! That was on a Thursday *pay day, woohoo!*, and I got my check from the station. I went to my bank to deposit my check...and the damn bank is closed! For 6 f%&*$@# inches of snow!

I was cussin' the entire way home, and laughing at all the people that don't know how to drive in the snow.

*takes a couple deep breaths, then sits down*
