Was spent trying to be a "good daughter". In other words, I went to Mom's and helped move a couch. When I asked if she was feeding me (as one would assume, since I'm putting my body on the line) she said she didn't have any food. So, Jane took us out for lunch.

I'm telling you, if my affection can be bought, Jane's doing a valiant job of trying to do so. ::grin::

Anyhow, so we went out to a late breakfast. Then we went and picked up our friend Mona. Now mind you, we're in my mom's truck. Which means two of us (namely Mona and me) are riding in the rear of the cab. It's a wonder Mona and I could unfold.

We dropped of mom's glider rocker at a friend of Jane's. Mom kept the footstool, says she needs one. Sheesh. If you going to give it away, give away the WHOLE bit.

But I digress. Said friend's house was a skanky pit. ::shudder::

Mona and I folded back into the truck and off we went to Jane's storage unit. Cleanest damn self store place I've ever seen. Loaded the sucker up, mona and I played cushion fights in the back. And we dropped it back off at Mom's.

It's a nice couch. I know I will love sleeping on it when I'm washing clothes or some such thing.

Jane too Mona home and Mom and I went off to shop for Clarke's present.

Mom and I got stuff for Clarke at Dick Blicks (local art supply place). I got a couple of watercolor trays, a set of brushes and a ruler. Mom got him at pastel tablet and watercolor tablet. After a couple of other errands (such as the dollar store to pick up wrapping implements) we headed over to fetch Clarke.

We met Dad at Frudruckers (a burger and shake place). I managed to dump the basket of fries and onion rings on the way back to the table. Mom hates the place actually, but since it was Clarke's birthday, he got to choose. I think she deserves to suffer once in a while. Does her good.

Dad got Clarke the Muppets S1 DVDs. He had to show off his loot as soon as he got in the door.

Clarke has to spend down soon (wish *I* had so much money I had to buy $2-300 worth of stuff, so the state doesn't take away my benefits, oh well, then again I'm not mentally eight).

I also dropped by Nancy's. Seems that ikkleosu sent me a christmas card to my old address. So we stopped to visit for a second and pick that up. Nancy and Darwin haven't seen Clarke in over a year, so that was nice. Darwin was a sweety (and I can tell endeared himself to my Mom) by asking how she was after her fall a month ago at a friend's house. Nancy reminded me all on her own that she was going to buy me a new PSP game, so I immediately sent an email when I got home. Teehee!

Today I worked. Blech. I'm feeling like supreeeeeeme crap today. I managed to get up, go deposit my paycheck and still make it to work early to put the store back together after my mopping on Saturday. My brain is totally mush though. My head is splitting in two.

I did find out my friend Angie took the job she was offered. It's in the same town she lives in, so she isn't driving an hour each way for a part time job. I swear her truck drank as much money as she was making. Hope that works out for her.

I didn't wish y'all a happy new year, so here it is! May your be starting out better than mine.

clarke, mom
