Tour of California Prologue
Well, the cycling season has started for me. Tour of Cali started yesterday with the prologue time trial. I didn't realize Versus was showing it, and only caught the last half hour. Which actually was fine. I got to see the last ten or so riders.
Fabian Cancellara (Saxo Bank) took first followed by Levi Leipheimer (Astana), David Zabriskie (Garmin-Slipstream), Michael Rogers (Columbia-Highroad), Thor Hushovd (Cervelo), George Hincapie (Columbia-Highroad), Tom Boonen (Quick Step). Lance Armstrong (Astana) rejoined racing by finishing 10th. Plenty of other big names not to far away.
However tuning in for Stage 1, found out Cancellara abandoned at the feed zone due to fever. And several of the the Astana bikes were stolen durning the night (including Lance's TT bike and Popovych's road bike). Also the weather is disrupting the picture signal, so they aren't actually showing live pictures of the race on Versus.
Going to be an interesting season, I'm thinking.
