Teheh, I'm not gonna starve. I'm just trying to avoid charging groceries. I've actually GOT money. But I'm really trying not to use either credit cards or savings for essentials. I knew going into this move that I'd be strapped until my car loan is paid off in July. This is really the first month I've felt the pinch. Christmas is going to be hell. I *love* buying Christmas gifts.
But I just sustainable proteins so I can keep stuff around for times like this. I'll just have to go all midwesterner and do ::shudder:: hotdish.
And I'd LOVE if you were close enough to invite me over for dinner. Remember if you come to the States and wander up to the midwest, I have room for guests now! You and the hubbie can have my room, I'd sleep in the office. ::smile:: Because god knows I'm not EVER going ot make it Down Under.

Buying (or making) in bulk and freezing is an excellent idea.

Actually I usually make a lot of stuff and freeze it. Mostly meatloaf, chili, that sorta thing. But that's a winter project which is finally nigh.
I picked up some bulk ground beef for meatloaf tonight. I'll try to find time this weekend to make it.
