Man, mom's pancreas is hosed. Shit, she won't be able to leave for at least three or four days. They aren't letting her eat for that long, giving her pancreas time to heal. I spent about four hours there this afternoon. Her color is better, but she's just exhausted. Her potassium levels are really low. She must have had 15 "bumps" of potassium

Thanks, hon. We'll just keep plugging on. Mom's only thought this morning? That her cat wasn't going to forgive her for being gone all the time. ::grin:: I told her the cat will think it's normal!

Yep, gotta love the treatment being only marginally better than the cure. ::eye roll:: She had told one of her doctors when this was going on before that the last time she'd had something like this pain, it had gone away after eating a banana. He told her it was just a coincidence. That was nearly two months ago.
