British Engineering firm soups up a Mini to make it a hybrid, capable of running on full electric for 200-250 miles. Motors in each wheel drive the car, and there are no mechanical brakes--braking uses the wheel motors essentially running "backward" to act as electrical generators, regaining almost all energy as battery charge.
