gambled on Stargate
Went to Las Vegas 2 weeks ago (for Creation's Star Trek con, but that's another story!) I'd promised our cat sitter that I'd put 5 bucks into a Star Trek slot machine, but the 4 that they had always had someone playing.
To my surprise and delight, they had a StarGATE slot machine!!!! How could I resist??? :-) So I sat down, and put my 5 bucks in. I am a complete novice at slot machines -- absolutely clueless! I punched a button to make my bet, punched another to play, and watched the little pictures whirl around. To my surprise, 3 of the same thing (can't remember what) came up, and I won! My $5 bet turned into $7.20 :-)
And my husband promptly said, "You won! Now you're cashing out." I sputter, "But... but... I only played once!" He replied, "And you won. Quit while you're ahead." *sigh* Of course he's right. So I cashed out.
But I did come out ahead, thanks to the Gate :-D
