Torri at Shore Leave!
Can't believe it's been a week since the con *sigh* Better make some comments before I forget altogether!
Torri was one of the main reasons we went, since we'd never seen her at a con, and didn't know when we'd get another chance. She is so different from Weir! She even commented about it, how she gets cast as these really strong, serious, smart women, and she's not strong or serious, though she's not *stupid*! She thinks it's the cheekbones -- she looks patrician, so she gets cast that way, even though she's not :-)
She had several questions about working with SG1 actors:
*RDA -- "I think he's a dirrrrrrty old man ;-) But he's adorable. And cheeky!"
*Does Shanks talk as fast in real life?
"Only if he's had half a bottle of whiskey! *WINK* Kidding!" She said he doesn't talk that fast in real life, it's just "acting-schmacting."
If she was on a desert island, who would she want with her? She said she'd want Amanda Tapping if she was going to get off the island, but Jason/Ronon if she was going to stay :-)
Would she do the SGA movie if it got made? "I'm an actor -- I say yes to anything!" She doubts they'd ask her, but Weir's a replicator, so.... "Maybe they could fly through a Milky Way of Weirs!" *huge grin*
Someone asked her about "Shweir" and "Sheyla" fanfic pairings, and whether she thought Sheppard would be better with Weir or Teyla. She said he and Teyla were more physical people, but he and Weir would challenge each other mentally for a long time (implying, I thought, that she thought Weir would be better long term.) Then she smiled and asked, "But why do relationships have to be so limited? Why couldn't the *3* of them just...." :-D And followed that with "Actually she had a thing for Daniel Jackson. Or maybe that was me...." Heeheehee!
When asked about her favorite moment(s) on SGA, she said what she really loves is "these things" (cons) -- she left SGA on a weird note, so for her, having people want to see her at a con is wonderful! And everyone should get a weekend a year when people tell them just how much they're appreciated :-)
She is just adorable -- really sweet, and quirky, and a little naughty! (Someone asked her about doing some project with Joe, and she said to tell him she'd do it. "I say yes to everything -- I'm a bad girl!")
