crack.

It happens when the vessels aren't fully connected. The gaps are slowly growing and the mind is quickly losing it self. Your memory will vanish before your eyes, and there is nothing you can do, but wait and watch. the neurons get stuck by these gaps, they can't jump them alone, but must wait for a bridge if you may. These bridges are always busy helping other neurons trying to get past gaps and since the gaps get larger and larger by the year, more and more bridges are needed. And so from birth your mind is slowly diminishing. Everything you learn or experience is stored, but again slowly lost.

Fighting.
To stop the decaying of your soul.
The battle of mind over mind is something hard to grasp.
You have to defeat yourself to win, and
you know in the end you'll come out disarticulated
and ready for what comes six feet under.
Ironically though, you don't throw up your white flag,
but keep enduring this pain and suffering for something greater
or the hope of some kind of light at the end of the tunnel.
But maybe this, this over dramatic act of endurance and strength
is just a sad little cry for help and when you realize
there are no soldiers behind you,
that this is a one man's battle,
will you face the beast alone?
