Regarding LJ's integration with Facebook, Twitter, et al. - some of which
has just expanded:
- I am on FB and Twitter
- I've historically been set up to automatically cross-post public LJ entries on Facebook when I make them. LJ required me to explicitly set this up again in the course of their most recent changes (which I'm pleased to see) and I've turned it off for now, although I'll probably post links on FB manually for most cases.
- I am (explicitly) NOT set up to cross-post my comments.
- I'm not set up to automatically cross-post to Twitter, although I do often manually tweet a link to my LJ posts.
- I have my LJ set up to "minimize search engine inclusion" so my posts (and comments upon them) don't normally show up in Google. I don't have that turned on for my comments in other journals, so that does result in some tangerinpenguin footprints, but I've been willing to live with that.
- I have "PingBacks" turned off for my account.
I believe this covers everything; please let me know if I've missed anything you're concerned about.
