Thirteen bits of good fortune in my life this Friday the 13th:
- Let's start with the big one: I'm working for a Fortune 500 that had a good earnings report coming out of 2008. These days, that's enough good fortune for an entire Friday the 13th.
- As of Monday, down just under 10 pounds on the year so far.
- The 2009 Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival was this past weekend.
- The Noir City series at SIFF Cinema starts this coming weekend.
- All of my peer reviews at work, finished for the year.
- Yesterday was the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birthday, and one of the main speakers was America's first Black president.
- One of my team's feature launches just made the front page headline of the intranet site at work.
- I've been sleeping unusually well, with some of my better dream coverage in a while. I attribute much of this to being a whole lot stricter about evening caffeine.
- New BSG this week.
- Buckley's, a new pub (at the Belltown location, anyway) with spiffy beers, decent pub grub, and entirely too conveniently located on the walk home.
- Have I mentioned that my office is within walking distance of the apartment? And it only gets better when said office moves to South Lake Union in another year or so.
- My favorite's still in the running on Top Chef
- I'm on schedule to qualify this weekend for the spiffy magic Kirin Tor dagger I've had my eye on in WoW.
