Signs of (provisional) hope that not all is decay on the walk home from work this week:
The Croc, which has been looking especially depressing since
abruptly closing shortly before Christmas, with its cracked windows and posters for "upcoming" concerts that didn't get to happen, now has a spiffy new
liquor/restaurant license application posted on the door that's a week or so into its mandatory soak time.
Pessimists will rush to point out this is the second proposal to reopen it - but unlike
the first attempt, which fizzled in March, this one seems to be put together by people who knew something about running a Belltown club before diving into the project.
