Trying to keep myself awake until the patch finishes downloading so I can turn the compy off~ 99%, screw you!
I finished reading Tehanu. It was... weird. I'm not sure what I was expecting. It was a lot like... The Dispossessed, haha! Except I think even less happened, if that's possible. She went down the street, a guy died, she went back home, someone else died. The end. There were a lot of allusions to interesting things that happened! Like the fact that the whole town was full of pirates. Really? Why aren't we following the pirate stories?! This crazy old lady who used to be someone interesting but is now someone boring is driving me crazy. @_@ The entire book happened in the last 3 pages, I swear. I guess that means I'm supposed to read the other ones. I do have to say that after having read Tehanu, the titles of all the other Earthsea books suddenly looked interesting, like maybe they tell all the stories that could have -- nay, SHOULD have been in Tehanu, but... between the only two Le Guin books I've read, I'm... not really interested in reading anything else by her, heh. Noooo thanks.
I finally picked up GRRM, after so many people making o_O faces when I mentioned I'd never even heard of him~ The first, uh, 50 pages aren't so bad, yet. Kind of reminds me of Eddings. 'course, I started Eddings with the Sparhawk books, which I liked WAY better than the Belgariad crap. But it's kind of making me wish I was reading Kay. Oh, and it makes me want to reread that Warhammer dark elf book, ha! Maybe there'll be more face peeling later~
