Getting the facts
So obviously its election time and my LJ will once again morph into political rants.
McCain has this new ad out saying that Obama voted for sex ed for kindergartners. This is a pretty big distortion. While Obama did vote for a measure that would be a comprehensive sex education bill teaching sex ed at age appropriate levels and even giving the option to opt out for parents, the bill would have only taught the little ones that babies didn't come from a stork and what the difference between right and wrong touch is. Of course the McCain ad doesn't mention any of this.
Secondly, this whole lipstick on a pig thing. Obama said that if you put lipstick on a pig it will still be a pig in regards to McCains claims of change. So of course McCain's people freaked out saying it was sexist etc. I suppose the phrase may be sexist but the funny part is that McCain said the same phrase last October in regards to Clinton's health care plan.
