I don't know what it is about 2005, but I am PUMPED for Christmas this year!!! I'm usually excited about Christmastime, but for some reason I am just overjoyed at the impending holiday! My office at work is already decorated and I've been playing Christmas music since the week of Thanksgiving. When I drive down the street and see Christmas lites, it makes me happy. I'm usually all "Oh it's Christmas again, Bah Humbug....." but I don't know what it is about this year. Maybe it's because I feel like I actually have things to be happy for. Last year wasn't so good cuz Jason and I were on the rocks. Now we're both over it and have moved on, and couldn't be happier. I also feel very joyful because of my new friends. We're all like a family, really. It's so super! It's like that with my girlfriends too, but everyone's so busy these days. With my new friends, we're all always together. We really are like a family. I'm thinking that we should have a Christmas dinner at Colin's. That would be simply divine. I don't know, I guess it's my overall disposition that's changed my outlook. I can't wait to get the girls' gifts together. They're gonna LOVE them! I'm getting them all the same thing, but they'll be different too. I can't say cuz sometimes Amanda reads this, and, duh I want her to be surprised! I'm just sooooooooo much happier this year than I was last year, and I wanna go tell it on a mountain! But I don't have a mountain, I have a computer and an LJ account.
So here's my proclamation;
It's Christmastime guys! Everyone be a little nicer to each other, give a little more, smile at a stranger, hold the door open for someone, tip a bit more than usual, listen to Christmas music, tell your loved ones how you feel, spend time with the people you care about, don't take this time of year for granted!
Drink hot chocolate (even tho it's 60 degrees outside), wear beanies, gloves and scarves, sing Christmas songs, watch cheesy Christmas movies, spend more time together, sit in front of a fire and pow wow with friends, decorate for goodness sakes!, look at Christmas lites, and most importantly, don't forget why we have Christmas to begin with. The reason for the season as they say. Christmas is the most joyous time of the year, don't let Scrooges and people of that nature bring you down. I'm on a Christmas high and I don't care who knows it!!!!
God bless us, everyone!
