tams pranks used to be sooo much smarter
pulling a fire alarm was actually *planned* long enough in advance to give someone else enough time to snitch? and then what? that doesn't even qualify as a prank.
your anger is misdirected - i'd be angry at these idiots in your class

tams always overreacts. they figure since 1% of the population at TAMS is bound to break a rule, they must restrict the movements and freedoms of the entire population to prevent it. if those people were expelled, others would become the "worst" of the bunch. if everyone's freedoms are restricted, it's riduculously inefficient, and horridly stupid. anyway, it's just bunk, and i think we all know it. if they can't punsh the people involved, they'll punish anyone and everyone.

You need to do one of two things:
1. Sick your parents on them, I'm sure you could get at least 50 sets of parents complaining and they'll probably give up against those numbers.
2. Get everyone to use chamberpots. I'm sure you can think of plenty of chamberpot related mischief.

I remember when I was there, they were threatening to close the laundry room because it was being abused and befouled. My mom wrote a letter to Roden to the effect of "How dare you punish my son, who has never had any disciplinary problems with you, for the actions of others. Not to mention that this adds insult to injury because the actions in question also harm him." Have your parents write letters and make phone calls with the general idea that TAMS is obligated to protect you from the mischief of others and punishing you not only won't protect you, but isn't reasonable or just.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but even as a real undergraduate things get done when parents complain.

Well, to be honest, they don't care anymore. If parents and the entire student body together complain, that's another reason for them to keep it. It's gone from being them working with the parents, to them fighting a war against the students. Now, they have their non-refundable tuition money, and more students who are willing to leave because they don't want the bullshit.

TAMS is dying. It needs an overhaul, all new administration that hasn't fallen into the rut of the job and still care about the kids, some new methods of funding, and to stop listening to the 1% of Asian parents that don't want their kids doing anything normal teenagers are supposed to do.

Furthermore, I have a sneaking suspiscion that some TAMS admin reads this just to keep tabs, so to them, I say, "Get a life and stop channelling your own self-loathing into TAMSters."

You are right, one of the new staff (who is a TAMS graduate) does read tams_alumni and reports back to Kevin and Russ if she sees anything interesting. I don't know what her name is, I'm afraid.
